OVERVIEW
The MBase11 can only do one thing, but it does it right:
fat bass drums!
And she does it better than ever.
Because the MBase11 is the logical successor to the MBase01 and offers better performance, more flexibility and an even thicker sound.
It generates analog bass drums that range from extremely punchy to super soft and covers the entire range from 909-style to 808-like kicks. And much more... the LFO has 8 different waveforms including sine, which can create very different envelopes. The result is not just a * kick *, the whole thing becomes a full-blown bass drum synthesizer.
As in the XBASE 999/888, the MBase11 now also has a compression parameter to set the volume of the fading envelope.
And... it offers a variable gate time to create very different sounding attacks.
And... there is a Metalize parameter to have hundreds of noise variations in the attack.
For a more intuitive operation, we have added an analog potentiometer for entering values, which works as an alternative to the endless rotary control when scrolling becomes too strenuous.
The MBase11 sounds a little different than the XBASE 999/888 on purpose. We offer an excellent sounding extension for our drum products and other electronic percussion.
The MBase11 can also be played like a real bass with some restrictions. When the decay is turned all the way up, it is long enough for tones and can be played on a midi keyboard in semitones over about 3 octaves.
The kick can be triggered via an external analog input. This is particularly useful for live drummers who want to "thicken" their live drum kit. The trigger input works with normal piezo pickups or audio signals.
And last but not least, the price is one of the convincing arguments:
This is an inexpensive tool that helps you to create fantastic sounding kick drums without wasting time on the annoying search for samples. Which then usually don't sound convincing anyway.
Rotate your sound the way you need it! Everything is real here.

SOUND DEMOS
What does MBASE 11 sound like?
Bass Drum.
Although the MBase11 uses the same principle or block diagram as the XBASE999 / 888, it has a different technology and therefore sounds a little different.
Ultimate Control.
Tune: Change the pitch envelope intensity (Env Amt) of the VCO
Pitch: Sub-bass from 10 Hz goes up to 175 Hz
Decay: Up to 2 sec
Harmonics: Enrichment of the overtones of the VCO - for the heaviest bass drums there is.
Pulse: Changing the pure pulse part of the attack - the gate time also influences this parameter
Noise: Changing the pure noise component of the attack - the gate time also influences this parameter
Attack: The attack mixed from 'Pulse' and 'Noise'
EQ: Filters the bass drum with a low pass - for soft 808-style bass drums
Gate: The gate time varies from 0.1ms to 16ms
Compr: Compression of the fading envelope - for slim and clicking kick drums and all the depth you need
MetNze: Metallized noise. A complex digital multitone generator creates a metallic-sounding attack from 255 different combinations
Remote MIDI & LFO Sync.
Midi
The midi controllers of the MBase11 are identical to the XB09 / X999 / X888 / AB / JB. All parameters can be remotely controlled via midi. In addition, the MBase11 is compatible with our midi editors in the bass drum area.
LFO
The MBase11 has an LFO that works on the pitch of the bass drum. The LFO speed can be entered in BPM or synchronized via midi clock. As with the XB09 / X999 / X888 / AB / JB, the LFO can be synced to the note trigger or run freely. The waveforms are: Saw up, Saw down, Sine +/-, Triangle +/- and Rectangle +/-.
